The addition of Chop in GTA 5 is a very interesting take on the series’ pets. Chop is originally Lamar’s pet in the game, but Lamar gives Chop to Franklin in the “Chop” mission. After that, whenever the player plays as Franklin, they can also play as Chop or walk or roll with him.

How to walk and play with Chop in GTA 5:
Step 1: Take control Franklin and make sure the “Chop” mission is completed.
Step 2: Go to Chop’s Kennel.
Step 3: Disarm yourself (switch to fists).
Step 4: Aim Chop and press the attack/fire button.
Step 5: Chop will now follow you everywhere and even get in the car with you. Aim at Slash and shoot again while unarmed to send him away.
