Shani Hardwick was born on July 12, 1982, in Savannah, Georgia, to Joyce Hardwick and Clifford Hardwick IV. Joyce was born in June 1952 and Clifford in September 1951. He is a practicing lawyer. It was unclear whether the actor was writing for his sister Shani. However, it later emerged that the position was reserved for his cousin Ayesha’s sister. On Shani’s birthday, his younger brother Jamil posted a video on Instagram with the caption, “We also celebrated the life of our guardian angel Ayesha, our cousin (and Shani’s sister/best friend) who passed away 9 years ago on Shani’s birthday, July 12th, passed away at the age of 33, young, in a spiritually kinetic way.” Similarly, in the same article, Hardwick stated that one of her brothers had passed away and many assumed that it was Malik. However, her brother Kenneth Hardwick was killed in a shooting in 2006.
