After moving to Los Angeles about two years earlier to work as a backup dancer, he became known for posting comedy sketches on social media.
McClain began creating original content for social media and quickly realized he had the ability to make people laugh.

“That’s where it all started. If it weren’t for that, I’d probably still be dancing now,” he says, referring to his early days supporting stars like Chris Brown and Ginuwine.
He recently signed on to reprise his role as Bobby Brown on BET’s “Bobby Brown Story” and played “MayMay” in “Canal Street,” which hit theaters in February 2018.
His upcoming projects also include a role in the American series “Unsolved” (also called Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious BIG), currently in production.
Unsolved is an American true crime anthology television miniseries based on the 1996 assassination of Tupac Shakur and the 1997 assassination of The Notorious B.I.G.
In addition to his acting work, Woody is currently executive producer of his own creation called Stories with Kev.
He teamed up with Kevin Hart for a streaming series in which he plays Kevin, based on Hart’s most famous stories and stand-up pieces.
